Porsche 356 Prices Holding Steady

Porsche 356 prices over the past year had steady performance with 11 models showing no change in their median price in 2020 over 2019, while 10 declined and five increased in value. This pricing analysis is based on the review of the median prices of public sales of Porsche 356’s as reported in the 2021 Pocket Price Guide from Sports Car Market magazine.

The leaders in Porsche 356 price increases were the 1963-1965 356C models as buyers seem to want the 356 style with the most modern technology available in a 356 as the C models were the last built. The 1959 356A Convertible D also had a price increase that had the highest increase of 28% based on its one-year only production with top-down motoring and roll-up windows.

The 356A’s and B’s were split between no change in value and slight declines in value. Unfortunately the 1950-1955 356 Cabriolet, 1956-1959 356A Cabriolet, 1960-1961 356B Cabriolet and the 1962-1964 Porsche Carrera 2 Cab all experience double digit declines in their value.

Porsche 356 Cabriolets have been the big price climbers in the past years so this may be a slight correction in the Cab market, to reflect buyer thresholds in buying.
