The East Coast Holiday is hosted by the Porsche 356 Registry along with members of The Southern Owners Group, Inc. The event is limited to 125 cars so it is expected to sell out very quick. You will want to register as soon as possible using this link.

It is difficult to say what the highlight of the weekend will be as drivers will have some of the best driving roads in the country right out the front door of the Chetola Resort, the Lakeside 356 Concours, and a visit to renowned 356 and European car collector, Chip Perry’s Car Barn.

The historic town of Blowing Rock offers wonderful boutique shopping with quaint restaurants and coffee if you choose to leave the confines of the Chetola Resort. Known as the “Crown of the Blue Ridge Mountains,” Blowing Rock is widely regarded as one of the most charming North Carolina villages.

Blowing Rock was established in 1889 and sits astride the Eastern Continental Divide at an elevation of 4,000 feet. Blowing Rock is the only full service town directly on the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway that links the Shenandoah Mountains to the north with the Great Smoky Mountains to the south.

From the base at the Chetola Resort you will be able to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway to great destinations dotted along the parkway. Just down the parkway is Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi with an elevation of 6,684 feet, or the quaint little mountain town of Little Switzerland, where the famous Diamondback driving road emanates from.

Asheville, North Carolina is also within driving distance if you should choose to visit one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States that features the Biltmore Mansion and the self-proclaimed micro-Brewery Capital of the country.

You’ll also have a chance to cross the famous Linn Cove Viaduct on your way to enjoy Grandfather Mountain that offers hiking, a nature park and a mile-high swinging bridge.

Porsche 356 owners will want to to book this event on February 15, 2023 as it will be a quick sell-out. If you are a Porsche enthusiast, put it on your calendar to visit the Lakeside 356 Concours for one of the best 356 displays that you’ll experience on the East Coast.
