14 Air-Cooled Porsches for Sale at RM Sotheby's

RM Sotheby’s auction house has switched to an online auction format since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today starts the RM Sotheby’s Open Roads, The European Summer Auction. The online collector car auction runs through July 22, 2020.

Fourteen air-cooled Porsches are featured in this auction. Most of the Porsches are collector grade Porsches with only one 1975 Porsche 911 with a pre-sale estimate at the low end of less than $100,000.

Two high end collector Porsches for sale at this auction are a 1975 Porsche 911 Turbo with a pre-sale estimat of $312, - $369,653 and a 1954 Porsche 356 1500cc Coupe with a pre-sale estimate of $244,539 - $301,410.

The reason for the high pre-sale price estimate is that this Porsche 930 Turbo is a first year model and it is believed that only 20-30 such examples exist today with matching numbers engine and transmission. This 930 just finished a complete two-year restoration by a noted European workshop.

The high pre-sale price estimate on the 1954 Porsche 356 coupe is not a surprise since Porsche was just founded in 1953 so this is an early pre-A Coupe that should gain a lot of collector attention
